WHO WE ARE

'Art Against Extinction Collective' is a Brisbane based group of environmentally minded artists and activists. We engage in art making to express our concerns about the state of the natural environment and the plight of non-human species.

OUR VISION

Art Against Extinction acknowledges that we meet and create on the unceded lands of the Yuggera and Turrabal peoples. We use art to visually protest the neoliberal and colonial narratives that are leading to accelerating ecological breakdown and irreversible global heating.

We do not shy away from being vulnerable and sharing our grief about the state of the environment and the inaction in the face of the global climate crisis.

We do not want to commodify our art. If you want to support us, please donate money to the Meanjin Solidarity Fund and support environmental activism.

Art Against Extinction will foster future artists and be the nucleus for creativity, while safeguarding the continued prevalence of the arts within our community.
